Filmmakers and Actors

I’m working with a publisher that is promoting his new book with online videos, 45 seconds to 5 minutes. He needs creative storytellers with fresh, unique styles. He doesn’t care, and really hates, any production value, any part of the film that is there just to help create a sense of realism. Films aren’t real.

So break all the rules and if you know nothing about filmmaking, you just might create the best visual story! This job ain’t about technicals skills or learned technique. It’s about creating a story that is honest, real, truthful and heartfelt. If you can do that by swinging the camera by a rope and making your actors dance to an opera tune then you’re exactly what we are looking for—you’re hired.

Make mistakes, emphasize your accidents. Take risks and fail. Be true to your vision and find the simplest, funniest way to communicate it.

Your assignment isn’t to make an award-winning film. The assignment is to create a piece of digital information that will sell lots of books. If you create a film that sells, we all are a success.

      Quality filmmaking don’t matter!

Once you’re aboard, you will be paid for the production of each video and paid royalties on book sales your film produced. We’ve got a skilled analytical guy who uses AI to track every sale. He knows, pretty much, where and how each sale came to us.

We want you to make money and succeed! Your success creates our success. You will be paid royalties each month and receive a sales breakdown to see where you did the best and worst. Then you can just adjust your skills and sell more books.

Here are the numbers. You’ll be paid around one to two thousand dollars for the rights to use your film. You always own the rights to your creations. You will be paid 10% for each book your film sells. That’s $3.00 per book. Sell a hundred books and you’ve earned $300. If your film is good and we use it a lot, you can expect a healthy reward. For you to sell 1000 books would not be surprising, it’s what we are expecting.

When one of your videos does sell well, we will feed into it our Influencer's channels and it will be viewed internationally. You will receive 20% of each book sold this way.

To test your abilities, applied creativity, fortitude and determination, you must pass the Assignment. It’s easy but of course is filled with complexities. How do you communicate a simple idea in the simplest way?—that’s very difficult to do. Good luck!

The assignment is to make three films, post them on your web channels and we’ll all watch for the response.

If you sell just five books you will be offered another opportunity. If your film sells more than 100 books, you have the job and we will give you another assignment immediately. You can make as many films as you like and we will always pay royalties, and production costs once the film proves its value.

We really do want you to make the money you’re due for your creative creations. But we only play with winners. We are also looking for 5–10 filmmakers to use on tour with the Coyote Roadshow, documenting our antics and miracles.

You can do whatever in your films, you have creative control. But a story relating to the book’s themes and ideas will obviously succeed best.

The book is titled, The Homerun Code by Coyote Mike.

      The website is at thehomeruncode.com.

Check out the website and maybe read the book. You don’t need to buy the book to complete the assignment, but when you are being interviewed by the Publisher and Author, it will be wise to know what the book is all about. There are six chapters posted on the website. Start with the Church Of Baseball chapter, that’s the heart of the book’s story.

The next step is your hardest. Can you commit to being successful? to getting what you want and more importantly, what you need? Can you reach out and take what’s yours? Can you step into your exciting future life with confidence and humor?

It’s harder than one thinks. 100% commitment is intuitively difficult. Our human brain doesn’t like it and will put up lots of clever barriers. Good reasons to quit and fail, and blame someone else or maybe God.

It’s that archetypical trip through the Fire and taking the Leap Of Faith. Is your desire strong enough to walk on red-hot coals? Do you have the courage to make that futile jump? If so, when you do, we’ll say “Welcome aboard! So glad you made it!”

Assignment Possibilities

  1. Read about Yogi-isms (It ain’t over, ’til it’s over) and play off one of them, the one you love the most. Tell us why it’s your favorite. Make each viewer your friend and share a secret from the Code.

  2. Be personal and tell of your own story. Your struggles and now dealing with this unbelievable opportunity. Be intimate and honest, admit your fears, concerns and wonderment. And then make the ending very funny. And it’s okay to sell to your friends with this film. That’s the heart of your story. Here I am and I need a friend’s help. (The Beatles… with a little help from my friends…)

  3. The book is filled with positive, lovable gender-fluid characters. This is a hot issue with readers. Young adults who know they are identity-fluid but don’t know what to do or who to trust. The book offers direction and solutions. An honest, funny film could be a big hit.

  4. Actors: Pick a scene and redo it in your own, completely different way. Play all the parts! Or work with other actors and you’ll all share in the royalties. Be creative not realistic, no production value.

  5. Singers do a music video. Our theme song is John Fogerty’s Centerfield. We don’t do it as a ‘cover’ so don’t you. Be your creative self, be raw and real. A video montage is great, show us you skills, but don’t be flashy or smooth, be homespun and funny.

If you consider yourself a skilled professional with great talent then do this video as one of your three. If you believe your film can really win the Academy Award for Best Short Film, then this project is for you. We will be submitting our best film to the Academy for judging…  and we're going to win!

We have a specific story to tell. It is very simple and easy to produce so requires only maximum creativity…  your unique cfeativity.

       Click the button for details.

We know there are lots of creative influencers out there and we want to work with the best and pay them well. This is not a competition. If we find 1000 talents then we’ll produce a thousand films and conquer the world! Everybody wins.

Final Step

Email me when you are ready to post your films. Then we will carefully track the results and let you know. Release the videos two days apart, three videos across seven days. Based on your films’ performances we’ll move forward.

Please email me with questions, concerns, anything about producing you films, or just to reply, “Yes this is really happening to you. Remain calm and carry on.”

You are now part of the Coyote team. (Feel it?)

Good luck!

Band Members

We need a Lead Guitar, Bass (stand-up and electric), Fiddle, Percussion, and a Singer. No drums, no piano. I will be playing Rhythm Guitar. This will be the Coyote Roadshow Stage Band.

At many venues, stadiums, we will add 10 to 20 more musicians. It depends on the crowd, the stadium’s requests, and the media coverage we will be getting that day. If it’s national coverage the band grows to 20, probably more.

We’ll have a list of 50 or so players that fit our needs. Depending on the venue, we will add and switch around players. It’s all very fluid. Those who play best and persuade listeners will work more, but everyone on the list gets to play.

We also will be switching members at some venues so we get a chance to play with everyone.

The fiddle player goes out into the crowd and spends an hour or two walking around the stadium. It’s filled with 20,000+ baseball fans excitingly waiting for a fun adventure but with nowhere to go.

They hear the pied-piper’s beautiful love song, encouraging them to follow. The fiddle player shows children how to play, that’s it’s also called a violin but violins only play boring music, and how everyone can dance because humans were born to dance and if you can walk you can dance.

Then Fiddler says, “Let me show you the way. Follow me and do what I do,” and fiddles back to our camp with a long line of followers. Job well done.

Band members play as a group onstage only part of the time. Mostly, each one does the most performing on their own or with one other band member. Band members interact with the audience, one-on-one. Your job is to build community and make new friends.

The percussionists brings out all their drums and rhythm-makers and gets kids to play them. They create an impromptu percussion section and maybe play a song with the band. They teach the children that everyone can play a rhythm instrument. Humans were born to play music, and all music starts with a simple rhythm.

The band members bring a lively spirit to the event. A background  sound filled with joy and potential. They teach an important lesson: we all can sing and dance and if we do it together as a group, our lives will match our dreams.

All your expenses will be paid while you are on the road. You will receive a percentage of book sales each month. So it’s very straight forward: the more books each member sells, the more money each of us makes.

You will set up a savings account and at the end of your tour you will then have a very big chunk of change to move your career forward. We expect many Team Members to break big in their careers because of the positive, national exposure they receive being in the Coyote Roadshow.

Your challenge, your test, is the same as for others: create a series of 3 videos and release them over 7 days. You job is not selling books but your book sells will be the measurement tool.

We are looking for you to sell just five books. If you can sell five, we know you can sell a thousand. And if you don’t sell nothin’, it’s okay. You’re still in the band, but we will make fun of you.

You can do whatever in your films, you have creative control. But a story relating to the book’s themes and ideas will obviously succeed best.

This is not a competition. We are hiring 50 band members. Each venue will often have a different group. Everyone will work. Obviously, the members that perform best will work the most.

Performers And Team Members

Performers create the event and bring people into the community. Team Members unique responsibility is to handle the financial transactions. The actual selling of the books. Obviously this is the most critical task. You will do both.

Otherwise there jobs are the same: meet the people in the crowd one by one, build community, and make new friends one at a time.

This is a big event, and it’s very special for each fan that we meet. Nothing like this has ever happened at any other game they’ve attended.

Tell stories and jokes, play games and sing songs, engage with the children. “We’ve got lots of free food. And we’ve got toys and candies for the kids. How about a bowl of Coyote Chili, ribs, or a Baseball Dog? Onions?” Find out what they need in the moment, and come up with a creative way to get it for them.

Make them feel at home with a good friend. They will remember it forever and tell their favorite story often. They will now sing and dance and show others how. They will smile a funny grin during every baseball game they watch. They will feel lighter and their work will go smoother. Happiness is always there for everyone. One just needs a professional Coyote to show the way.

You will change lives and bring joy. The world changes one person at a time, with each human being that you make a friend.

The Performer and Team Member positions are at the heart of what we are doing. Bringing love, creating community, and making new friends. The books will sell themselves.

All your expenses will be paid while you are on the road. You will receive a percentage of book sales each month. So it’s very straight forward: the more books each member sells, the more money each of us makes.

You will set up a savings account and at the end of your tour you will then have a very big chunk of change to move your career forward. We expect many Team Members to break big in their careers because of the positive exposure they receive being in the Coyote Roadshow.

Your challenge, your test, is the same as for others: create a series of 3 videos and release them over 7 days. You job is not selling books but your book sells with be the measurement tool.

We are looking for you to just sell five books. We know you can then sell a thousand. If you do sell 100 books then you are in line for a Team Leader position.

If you don’t sell five books then do the assignment again and get your best friend to buy five books. It will show your cleverness, ability to solve problems, and ability to pursue your friends. We know that if you can sell your friends you can easily sell well to strangers.

You can do whatever in your films, you have creative control. But a story relating to the book’s themes and ideas will obviously succeed best.

Influencers

iStock-517446995.jpg

I'm working for a Publisher with a new book. We’re looking for beginner Influencers. Charming human beings who can deliver new viewers from a specific target-audience. I prefer newbies for their unblemished creativity and fresh enthusiasm.

My deal, my idea for getting good marketing, is to get you Influencers to work for free and then by paying you very well. You’ll make 10% of the retail price for each book sold. That’s $3.00 per book. If you believe our book will sell a thousand copies on your channels, you would profit $3,000.

When you need more knowledge then we’ll hire a pro to assist you for a while.

The novel is about baseball. Our first specific target-audience is Girl's High School Softball. Then other baseball players and baseball families. There are over 6 million baseballers in the USA. And then all sports lovers.

If you believe you can influence viewers on your channels and are ready to grow and succeed in your business, then you can do this. No experience necessary or needed.
